Description

Building resilience in yourself, your family and your community

Brigadier General (ret) Rhonda Cornum, PhD, MD, is an international expert on Resilience and Positive Psychology, Iraqi Prisoner of War survivor, wife and mother.

She will inspire you with her story.

Dr Cornum led the Comprehensive Soldier Fitness initiative in the US Army from 2006 -2012. This strategy remains the world’s largest initiative to measure and build resilience at scale. During the Gulf War, while a flight surgeon aboard a helicopter in search of a downed pilot, Dr Cornum was shot down, wounded and taken prisoner of war, which she wrote about in the book: She Went to War.

Dr Cornum is the Director of Health Strategy at TechWerks, a United States based healthcare IT solutions company, and is an advisor to the SAHMRI Wellbeing and Resilience Centre.

At this event, Dr. Cornum will be sharing her personal story on resilience and discussing the importance of building positive mental health in yourself, your family and your community.
